Under The Grape Vines

Hello Fashionistas!
Today's outfit is a classic color combination (black and white) combined with SS14 trends and some turquoise details. Stripped pants were a total trend in winter, and what a better way to continue this trend in summer than wearing it on shorts? Oh, and let's not forget the kimonos, which were probably my SS14 favorite trend. The thing about this kimono top is that it's sleeveless, has lace details in the back and on it's ends, making it the perfect choice for hot summer days. With a simple white tank top to make it as minimalistic as possible, a gold-turqoise necklace and blue bracelets on, because in outfits like this, it's the accessories that make the difference.

If you want to wear black and white combinations during summer, make sure to break off the monotony by adding unique accessories and some pastel-colored details for morning outfits and more neon for night outfits.

Mermaids and Head Jewel

Hello Fashionistas,
Don't you ever wish you could just stop everything and be a mermaid? Same, girl, same.
These photos were taken in the Mavros Molos beach, my favorite beach in Crete. Every time I go there, it's like I travel to another world, because the way of the crystal clear ocean, the blonde sand and the multicolored giant rocks blend all together is truly magical. This scene inspired me to put together this look. This outfit to me is something I believe to be a bohemian version of a mermaid look. Lace, jewels and chains put together for this look.

After being amazed from the Coachella bohemian looks, I came across this amazing head jewel, and just thought that it was only right to buy it. And by the last week in Athens before my sailing off to Crete for a whole month, while panic-shopping outfits for my summer holiday. Then, I found this gorgeous bikini, which is not your average lace swimsuit - it has blue lace on top of hot pink lace and two jewels on the straps. It's truly the details that make a piece special.

VMAs 2014 Fashion Review

Hello Fashionistas!

The Video Music Awards are the event that everyone was anxiously.. Why? Well, after last year's Miley's performance it was just too hard to ignore VMAs. This year, the show was hosted in The Forum in Inglewood, Los Angeles, and Hollywood's hottest stars attended. And of course, some amazing outfits were spotted.. VMAs is a fashion trend-setter for every other award show, so get ready to be amazed, because fashion in the VMAs isn't a game. But allow me to sum it up real quick for you guys: Ariana isn't a good girl anymore, Beyoncé SLAYED with her breathtaking show, Nicki Minaj had a major wardrobe malfunction -but still managed to kill it-, Iggy Azalea wore the most shiny Versace dress you've ever seen, oh and Katy Perry showed up in denim head-to-toe, in a wonderful remake of Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake's matching denim outfits in 2002. Too much? Yeah, let's take it a step at a time.

1. Ariana Grande

I don't know how her good girl to bad girl transformation happened so quickly, but damn, she brought the whole bad girl game to a new level. And when she showed up on the red carpet with an all leather outfit and gold Moschino chains all over, we knew she was not longer the adorable Cat, but a grown self-confident women. And then, while opening the show, she rocked a hot black bodysuit and thigh-high boots. Ariana, show 'em how it's done.

Summer Rain and Lace Umbrellas

Hello Fashionistas!
5 minutes outside until it started raining, and to be honest, my lace umbrella didn’t offer much protection from the rain. With long dresses being in vogue this year, I couldn’t help but try this trend myself. With my long white dress out the closet and my flower hairpins from Thailand, I was more than ready to see what the buzz was all about. And let me tell you- I fell for this trend immediately.

To me, there’s a little story behind every piece in my closet. In this outfit, the one with the most interesting story is my necklace. During my trip to Vienna, one early morning right after breakfast, we took the train to an avenue in which every Sunday, a vintage bazaar took place. It was absolutely crazy, more and more sellers as minutes passed, more and more buyers looking for worthy items. It was surely something I had never experienced before, so it was a bit of a shock at first. That’s exactly where I found my green necklace. I was kinda unsure whether to buy or not, but I loved the aristocratic look of it. So the first rule in vintage shopping applied here - when you find vintage jewelry, you can’t just not buy it.
